Allen Edward Schmidt

Greensburg- Allen Edward Schmidt, 97, passed away December 5, 2020 in Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas, He was born January 6, 1923 near Greensburg to Eli and Mary (Redger) Schmidt. Allen married Juanita Koehn March 5, 1945 in Greensburg. They shared 73 years together before her death January 6, 2018. He is survived by a daughter Linda Bolen and husband Bud, Greensburg, one Grandson Jory Buller, Wichita, Kansas, two sisters Ruth Gingrich and Jan Ducic. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Luella Regier and Bea Evans and two brothers Lloyd and Bob Schmidt. Allen was a U.S. Army Veteran, proudly serving our country in World War II. Following his service he came back to Greensburg to start his lifelong dream of farming and ranching. A memorial service is planned. The details will be posted at a later date.
