Greensburg-Betty Maxine Hogan ,84, of Greensburg, Kansas, died May 22, 2014 Thursday afternoon at Carriage House Assisted Living, Greensburg, Kansas. Betty Maxine Cole was born September 21, 1929 to Daniel and Fannie (Reynolds) Cole in Neodesha, Kansas. She was married to Robert Leroy Preble for who died in a accident. She then married Glen Martin “Sammy” Greer who died in a car accident. In 1967 she married Bill Hogan who died in 1974. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Neodesha Kansas, and was an avid Bingo player. Betty and Robert had four sons Robert Dewayne Preble, Ronnie Dean Preble, Randy Eugene “Jake” Preble Michael Leroy Preble. Betty lived in Neodesha until 1968 then moved her family to Greensburg. She is survived by three sons Dean and wife Shirley of Tacoma Washington, Randy “Jake” and wife Relena of Greensburg, Mike and wife Lisa of Lompoc California . Her son Robert of Webb City Missouri died one year ago and was married to Lavonna . Her sister Ruth Alma Smith lives in Wichita, Ks. In addition to her husbands Betty was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Dorothy Imel, Pearl Lance, Mary Newton, Thelma Harwood, Lula Beurskens, and five brothers Francis Cole, Louis Cole, Bernard Cole, Lloyd Cole, and Allen Cole. Betty was loved and blessed with 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Graveside services in celebration of her loving life will be held at 2:00pm May 25th Sunday at Neodesha Cemetery Neodesha ,Kansas. Memorials may be sent for Carriage House Assisted Living, Greensburg, Kansas or for South Wind Hospice, Pratt, Kansas in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main Street, Greensburg, Kansas, 67054.
