Greensburg- Edward E. Mills, 82, died June 8, 2017 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas. He was born January 25, 1935 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the son of Edward Mills and Helen Robbins. Ed was raised by Ruben and Opal Kirkendall. He graduated from Codell High School in 1952. He had lived in Natoma, Plainville, Wellington and Greensburg. Ed was an oilfield worker, cowboy and an associate at Dillons Grocery store in Greensburg. He was a member of the Kiowa County Senior Center, Greensburg. On February 11, 1956 Ed married Leta Berry. She preceded him in death. He is survived by one son Mark Mills (Melinda Smith), two daughters Jeanie Mason (Don) and Valerie Greathouse (Christopher), six Grandchildren Bruce and Ryan Intchauspe, Christina Rudacille, Hannah Metsker, Jamie Lauffer and Jackie Mills, ten Great-grandchildren Abby, Gamble, Delani, Amaya, Melina, Brennan, Kaylie, Baylee, Canon and Tucker. Ed was also preceded in death by a son Edward D. “Eddie” Mills. Memorial services and celebration of Ed’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, with Pastor Terry Mayhew presiding. Private inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. Friends may visit the family 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the church. The family requests memorials to the Kiowa County Senior Center in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St. PO Box 41, Greensburg, KS 67054. The family wishes to give a special Thank-you to the staff of Interim Hospice and the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital for their kindness shown to Ed and his family.
