Greensburg- Jerry Milton Ahrens, 68, died December 7, 2022, at Wesley Woodlawn Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. He was born January 2, 1954, in Greensburg, Kansas, the son of Wesley Wilbur and Wretha May (Busby) Ahrens. Jerry graduated from Greensburg High School in 1972. He had lived in Garden City, Jetmore and Greensburg. He was a motor grader operator for Kiowa County Road and Bridge Department, Greensburg. On February 3, 1990, Jerry married Joyce Rich in Garden City, Kansas. She survives. other survivors include four sons John and wife Leighanne Ahrens and Jared Ahrens, all of Topeka, Kansas, David and wife Michelle Ahrens, Greensburg, Thomas Ahrens, Holbrook, Nebraska, a step-daughter Rhonda Sarber and husband Matt, Mullinville, ten Grandchildren, Emily Sarber, Alexa Sarber, Gavin Ahrens, Macyn Ahrens, Gabi Cervantes, Jerett Flowers, Eli Cervantes, Mireya Cervantes, Nova Ahrens and Raven Ahrens, one brother Bob Ahrens, Greensburg, and one sister Linda Brower, Ashland, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Dennis Ahrens and Mike Ahrens. Memorial service and celebration of Jerry’s life will be held 10:30 am, Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Greensburg Mennonite Church with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn officiating.
