Ruby Blanche Brown

Haviland- Ruby Blanche Brown, 77, died December 14, 2013 at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas. She was born February 19, 1936 in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Charles Marion and Mary Amanda (Evans) Rector. A lifetime resident of Haviland, Blanche was a Certified Nurses’ Aide and waitress. On May 4, 1955 Blanche married William “Bill” Carr Brown in Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death August 20, 1997. She is survived by five sons Melvin and wife Ronda Brown, Haviland, Keith and wife Cheryl Brown, Trousdale, Kansas, Wayne and wife Machelle Brown, Greensburg, Darry Brown, Haviland and Joe and wife Lynda Brown, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, five daughters Rhonda Wright and husband Jim, Hartshorne, Oklahoma, Celia Thulen, Mullinville, Lynn Godfrey , and Sandy Kruse and husband Charlie, all of Haviland, and Terri Butler and husband Jeremy, Greensburg, one sister Mary Lou Brown and husband Wayne, Haviland, twenty five Grandchildren and nine Great-grandchildren. Funeral services and celebration of Blanche’s life will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Haviland United methodist Church, Haviland. Burial will follow in the Haviland Cemetery. Friends may visit the family 5:00-7:00p.m. Tuesday at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg. Memorials are suggested to the Blanche Brown Final Expense Fund in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S.
